Hi, I have deployed the DeviceLock client to approx 100 computers but two are giving me the same installation issues.

I tried installing from the enterprise manager and also locally using trh msi file but I just get the below logs in the event viewer, I have checked the 4 services (server, terminal services, remote registry and RPC) required are running on the machine, both are Win XP SP3 32bit.

The description for Event ID ( 260 ) in Source ( Device Lock ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: PrepareDeviceDriverHook - The system cannot find the file specified. (2).

This occurs on both 7.0.1.29555 and 7.0.2.31230

We have a customer with the same problem.
What caused this problem?

The above problem has been fixed in DeviceLock version 7.1.31981.

The customer is using 7.1.32564 of the Japanese versions.

There is a point different from this problem only by one point.
The customer is not using DLEM.
The customer is deploying msi by using Group policy.

We would recommend to use more recent Japanese version (e.g. 7.1.35677) suggested in Ticket #20837.

If a problem is corrected in 7.1.31981, it should not occur in 7.1.32564.

Is it really corrected in 7.1.35677?

We have fixed another installation issue in later than 31981 build.

We periodically solve 1-2 installation issues with each new build, so the problem of yours might be fixed with this version too.
